Ford Focus ST Tuning and remapping upgrades
Ford has shown us that knows a thing or two about building performance cars over the years, the Escort and Sierra Cosworth’s, not to mention the supercars.
When designing the Focus ST, Ford decided to reduce its dependency on Cosworth for building its performance engines and this time looked to the direction of Volvo for its 2.5 Litre Turbo plant.
Despite being a great car, solid, reliable and lots of fun to drive there are a number of improvements we can make over the standard “compromise” specification that Ford had to release it under to comply to the restrictions imposed on them by the laws and governance in the countries where it is sold.

Focus ST Remap Only
ECU Remapping – Engine Chip Tuning
Angel Tuning recommend an increase of 50bhp and 80lb ft torque to obtain the best results from a standard 2.5 ST engine. With our IN HOUSE developed engine management software we acheive the maximum efficiency from the engine, giving a SMOOTH linear power delivery, for harder, smoother acceleration with no flat spots. This will give greatly improved throttle response and no downsides.
Because we tune your Focus ST to its maximum efficiency you can also expect to improve fuel economy by around 10% (although this depends on your right foot of ocurse!)

Braided Brake Hose
Goodridge have developed and manufactured hoses for the following high profile applications Formula 1, Thrust 2 (world land speed record holder), Nascar, every major Rally team.
Because of their expertise in the hydraulics field they have been able to apply this knowledge to the automotive industry to give replacement brake hoses and fittings that outperform even the original equipment products.
Goodridge kits feature the finest quality stainless steel braided hose, which improves braking performance, eliminates the spongy feel of rubber hoses and provides superior resistance to corrosion. Hose end fittings are zinc plated steel as standard or stainless steel as an option.

EBC Brake Discs
The wide aperture slots on the EBC units actually draw cool air under the brake pad and rotor interface and help cool the temperatures of the pad contact which can shoot up to well over 1000 degrees at the very heart of the brake pad during heavy braking and can cause brake fade or loss of brake effect.
These “Full sweep” slots on the EBC Sport Brake rotor also help remove dirt dust debris and water from the braking area but without doubt the MAIN benefit of such sport rotors is their ability to maintain a flat and parallel pad surface throughout the lifetime of the brake pad set.

EBC “RED STUFF” Brake Pads
As EBC’s flagship street brake pad material for prestige and faster cars above 200BHP the 09 version on EBC Redstuff sets new standards in brake performance. Redstuff has always been known for its low dust ability but the latest blend has greatly reduced the phenomenon of pad “Pick up” or disc scoring and reduced dust even further.

Eibach Springs
Possibly one of the best upgrades to performance, these springs help get the power down on the road by preventing excessive dipping of the rear suspension which causes the front wheel’s to become light. Also the ST is renowned for dipping heavily on hard braking, causing less reassuring handling.
