XE Fast Road Brake Pads

Description of Material
Red Dot Fast Road Compound is a Kevlar asbestos free material with a nominal coefficient of friction of 0.48. This material has excellent friction and wear properties over a wide range of temperatures, working consistently well from cold up to 500c. Wear rates are similar to those of standard road going material

Applications
Fast Road use, saloons, hot hatches and lightly modified vehicles. This material has been developed for the high performance road vehicle. It’s temperature stability combined with good wear resistance and quiet operation make it ideal for fast road used.

Performance Brake Discs

Description of Material
Red Dot Brake Discs are cast from high carbon iron with copper additions to ensure a pearlite matrix. This material was developed for high performance racing and saloon cars where medium strengthened maximum heat dissipation is required.

This material is treated in main frequency induction furnace and held in a large channel induction holding furnace prior to pouring

All casting features including temperature, chill characteristics and CEL are continuously monitored.

Microstructure
Predominantly Type A & B graphite size 3-4 in a pearlite matrix with a maximum of 5% ferrite


The Brake Range


XJ - 6 Groove Disc
The 6 groove range of discs, available for most road vehicles, deglaze the pad and vent gasses that build up between disc and pad during braking. As a result brake fade is significantly reduced.

Suitable for road use, where a positive response is required.





XR - 20 Groove Disc
The 20 groove range of discs, available for most road vehicles, deglaze the pad and vent gasses that build up between disc and pad during braking. As a result brake fade is significantly reduced. The additional slots dissipate heat more effectively giving an increase in performance than the XJ range.

Suitable for road and light competition use.



XM - 40 Groove Disc
A high performance disc with 40 slots machined into the braking surface. This deglazes the pad and vents gasses that build up between disc and pad during braking. As a result, brake fade is significantly reduced. The additional slots dissipate heat more effectively, thus greatly reducing the risk of deformation, vibration or cracking of the disc at extreme operating temperatures.

Ideal for competition use and anytime that high-speed motoring is practised.



PP – Personalised
Personalised Discs for the driver who wants to add that special touch combining style and performance.

Discs are of the same quality as the Group N on which a message of your choice is machined on the face that shows through the wheel and also has six grooves machine on the opposite side, the non visible side.


Supply
Angel Tuning can supply most of the applications listed directly from stock, however please allow 7 –10 days for delivery.


Fitting
Angel Tuning can fit all brake discs mobile for customers that purchase a tuning / brake etc package. For customers who wish just to have brakes fitted you will have to come to us in the Midlands to have them fitted. Quotation will be supplied upon request.
