Morning Nigel, Some feedback on the Octavia that Steve, and yourselves! did at Altech did 5/6 weeks ago. After your superb Citroen re-map I expected the Skoda to be the same and of course it is.Thanks. My concern was how it would gel with the DSG. No worries there, in one word; Magnificently wonderful. The DSG changing is smooth and seamless, no more hunting the right gear on long hills or needless down changes on accel. It’s like driving with a big electric motor and one gear, gorgeous. My mates 2.0 TDi DSG which is supposedly a smoother and more refined drive feels like a tractor compared with mine. Top marks to you. Top marks to Steve at Altech also, nice guy. Hi Nigel, Just some feedback on the remap and with many thanks to Andy for doing the process on the car. I am pleased to say that there has been a great improvement on the driveability on the car as well as the boost to performance. It is generally smoother and the DSG box seems to change down easier than before and therefore pull away straight away, before say in 5th I would press down to accelerate but it would quite often stay in that gear and not move as rapidly as I would like. Not sure on the economy side yet because I am enjoying the new found acceleration. It has been quoted that the car is approx 195-200bhp but I would be interested in your view what the 0-62 might be now, was 7.8sec. Also is this DSG box ok with this level of power increase, i don’t do much in the way of hard driving and normally cover only approx 5000mls every year. Many thanks, Chris.
